Transshipment

Transhipment at Eurohafen Emsland has increased steadily since it started in 2008 - in 2020, 678 ships passed through the port and a total of 655,194 tonnes were handled.

Thanks to the port's trimodal connections, transshipment from

• from ship to truck, intermediate storage or rail
• from truck to ship
• from rail to truck, ship or intermediate storage

is possible.

Mainly agricultural products, building materials, fertilisers and heavy cargo are handled at Eurohafen Emsland.
